I’m currently subscribed to PS Plus Extra on a monthly basis, which ends on February 15. Now there’s a sale with Premium priced at $123.50 CAD and Extra at $116.24, lasting till February 4. I’d love to jump on this yearly deal, especially for Premium since it’s a bargain, but I’m running into some issues. Despite canceling my monthly plan, it won’t end until February 15. The only option I see is upgrading to Premium for the next 17 days at an extra $1.50 and then paying the regular monthly price afterward. Does anyone have advice or a workaround for snagging that 12-month pricing?

You’ll need to let your current subscription run out. Till then, it seems their system won’t allow taking up a new yearly offer. Once your current plan finishes, keep an eye out for other promotions as they come and go throughout the year!
Unfortunately, you can’t take advantage of the sale with your current account setup. Since you have an active subscription, it’s blocking the new deal. I’d recommend waiting for your subscription to expire, then see if there’s any deal you can grab. Planning ahead for sales like Black Friday might be a good idea in the future.
It really is a tricky situation you’ve got. The only way to get the annual offer is to let your subscription expire first. One option you might consider is creating a new account and grabbing the offer on that. Just make sure to set it as your primary account on the console so you still have all the features across your system. But just know, any digital stuff tied to your original account stays there.
