Hey everyone! I’m diving back into the game after a long break, back to the days when frost was considered the top defensive Warframe and health truly mattered. Now, with all this talk about shield gating, it feels like the only way to survive in high-level content like Steel Path is by constantly spamming abilities. Is there a way to maintain survivability without straining my hands from all that button mashing? I’d love to hear your strategies!

You should definitely give some Warframes like Stayanax and Inaros Prime a try. Stayanax builds up overguard with kills, and Inaros can go invulnerable when his health dips, plus he has a lot of armor. You can even combo with Hunter Adrenaline to regenerate energy when you take damage. Both are great for keeping you alive without requiring constant ability spamming!
And don’t forget about Rage or Hunter Adrenaline! They can convert damage taken into energy, so you can keep casting without worrying too much.
I’ve found success just trying to avoid damage altogether. If I go down, I use my Operator to take out a few enemies and get back in the fight. Sometimes it’s that simple, just keep moving and don’t get hit!
You might want to focus on enhancing your damage reduction options. Using mods like Adaptation, and abilities that provide flat armor boosts, can really help. Healing methods can also be a lifesaver in tight spots. Just make sure you’re not relying too heavily on spamming abilities for shield gating; find some solid defensive mods instead!
Totally agree! Inaros is super tanky with his health and armor; just cast his second ability when things get rough, and you’re golden!
