My partner just started playing with me and picked Nightblade as her first character. When I was new, someone convinced me to drop my Nightblade for Templar because it was “easier,” but I want her to enjoy the class she chose and not feel pushed away from it. I’m looking for some advice on how to explain builds and game mechanics to her in a way that’s helpful without overwhelming her. Also, what are some solid, beginner-friendly stamina Nightblade builds we can both try? We work night shifts and have trouble finding guilds active during our hours, so jumping into trials might be tough for us. Returning to the game after some months has reminded me how daunting it can be, so any tips would be much appreciated!

I started with Nightblade and it’s a really enjoyable class if you like sneaky playstyles. Plus, you can shred bosses pretty fast once you get the hang of it. I’d say let her play what she likes and build around those skills she finds fun. Nightblades aren’t just good for PvP — they’re quite solid for questing and solo content too.
Haha, you work night shifts and aren’t playing a Necro? That’s funny! But seriously, having a partner to explore with already makes the game way more enjoyable. I agree with others — let her get comfy with the basics before diving into complicated builds or trials. Just quest, explore, and level up together. Keep your health topped up and have fun pressing buttons! Once you’ve both got some Champion Points and skill points under your belt, you can start thinking about honing builds or trying harder content. But only if that feels right for you guys. If you want to PvP or vet dungeons sooner, go for it, but no need to rush.
Nightblade is definitely one of the best classes for casual play and overland exploration. The stealth lets you avoid fights you don’t want, and skills like Swallow Soul help keep you alive in tough spots. My advice is to check out some beginner-friendly YouTube guides and start slowly adding those tips into your gameplay. Also, try joining a guild or two, even if it’s low-key. It really helps with motivation and learning when you get chatting with other players.
Honestly, I’d say just play what feels fun, especially while you’re still new. Until you hit Champion Point 160 (don’t worry if you haven’t heard of that yet), min-maxing builds or farming gear sets isn’t super necessary. You’ll be leveling fast and outgrowing stuff quickly, so it’s better to experiment with different skills, weapons, and armor to find what you enjoy. Just have fun exploring and learning the game at your own pace rather than stressing over perfect builds right away. And definitely don’t feel bad about sticking with Nightblade — it’s a great class that you can grow into!
