I’ve made a deal with the rats in the Shar Temple, promising not to harm them, and they’ve been showing me treasures. However, I keep encountering this overwhelming rat spawn at the bottom of a big statue, and it’s become nearly impossible to fight them off. No guides seem to cover this battle, and I’m feeling stuck. Can anyone share strategies or tips on how to stop the rats from endlessly spawning?

If you’re looking to win, just have a cleric cast Spirit Guardians and let everyone else hang out in that area of effect. It makes fighting them a lot easier!
The rat spawns will eventually taper off, but you need to go through a few waves before that happens. You’ll then face the leader of the rats. It’s definitely tricky if you’re not prepared. Have you tried reloading an earlier save to bypass this fight?
Sleet Storm works wonders on their spawn points if you pair it with multi-target arrows. Just hold out for a few rounds, defeat their boss, and the loot is totally worth it!
Using spells like Spike Growth, Wall of Fire, or Hunger of Hadar can really help with this fight. I’ve summoned spore zombies to distract the rats while I unleash my spells on them. It’s chaotic but fun! If you let Isobel die, consider fast-traveling to unleash your zombies right then and there.
