How Can I Solo EN06 Faster Using Pounders on My Auto-Axe?

-

Hey everyone! Today was such an awesome day for me—I managed to solo EN06 with only seconds to spare! On top of that, I finally got the Pounders mod for my Auto-Axe. I equipped it with Furious *, Strength **, and Power Attack ***, combined with all my perks, and I’m hitting about 860 damage. This lets me kill EN06 after just one fire shelter, but I know it should be possible to do it quicker. I’m playing as a human, so I don’t have access to ghoul perks. Does anyone have tips or build advice to help speed up the kill? Thanks and hope you all have a great day!

You’re on the right track with the Pounders! Don’t forget to stack food and strength buffs wherever you can. Also, keep an eye on onslaught stacks—hitting 30 stacks with Pounders makes a big difference. The Covert Operator perk helps too if you crouch while attacking, since it can give you some big numbers popping up. For armor, having five Troubleshooter pieces instead of four can boost your defense and melee damage. Also, always carry repair kits for your weapon since farming the boss breaks them down fast. If you’re using the Reflect glitch method, spam stims till the shield pops so you don’t waste goo. And if you use power armor, try the method where you get into it during his come-up phase—it’s easier than standing on the power armor.

Nice! I’m using the bat with rocket mods and crippling, which gives me a 75% cripple chance with VATS, so the shield goes down quickly. I usually manage to take out about half his health before the room heats up.

If you want a straightforward setup, I don’t even use buffs and still have an easy time. I run 15 base Strength, +5 from legendary gear, and +10 from Power Armor, plus the Herd Mentality perk (which works even if I’m solo in a private team). Stack all the two-handed melee perks, Incisor, and Bloody Mess. If you want more punch, Adelaide’s robot damage buff lasts an hour and helps a lot against bosses like EN06. For your Power Armor, get Troubleshooter mods on all pieces.

My Auto-Axe is Furious, +40% Power Attack, +Strength, plus Pounders. I routinely do 1585-1690 damage per hit initially, dropping to around 1200 but climbing back up. I use a 50 cal to trigger his bullet shield, then switch to the Auto-Axe and let the damage reflect do its job. I can kill EN06 in about 30 seconds after his shield drops, often without needing to duck into shelter at all. My personal best after the ghoul update is 52 seconds solo, usually just over a minute.

Congrats on the solo! With the right build, you should be hitting way higher than 860 damage per hit—think around 1500 solo and even 2100 if you team up. Make sure to use food buffs like Deathclaw Wellington or Tasty Yao Gaius Roast from Whitespring Refuge, and pop Fury or Psycho buffs for extra damage boost. Those really amp your melee effectiveness and can shave off a ton of time on bosses like EN06.
