I’m currently doing the story quests in Imperial City, but I’m finding it tough because of all the PvP action happening around me. I get that PvP is a big part of this zone, but I just want to focus on my questing, gather my Tel Var stones, and get out of there. Is there a universal way to let other players know I’m not trying to fight?

A solid tactic is to play during off-peak hours when the server is less crowded. If you go for a build that includes invisibility, like using Stormweaver’s Cavort along with vampirism, you can navigate without drawing too much attention. But honestly, teaming up with friends will also give you better chances of completing quests without getting attacked.
You’re right; it’s tough to quest in a PvP zone where everyone is hunting for Tel Var stones. You can use invisibility potions or the Nightblade’s Cloak for a sneakier approach. Also, think about waiting until late at night or on weekdays for a quieter experience. Good luck!
You can try using emotes like /surrender or /playdead when players get close to you. Jumping around while holding block can also help signal that you’re not interested in PvP. However, just a heads up, a lot of players in Imperial City are pretty aggressive and might still attack anyway. It’s worth a shot, though!
Thanks! I’ll definitely give the emotes a shot. I just want to enjoy the story without getting ganked.
Unfortunately, no universal sign exists. Players will often see you as a target, especially if they’re hunting for achievements or Tel Var. Just make sure to bank your stones often to reduce losses if you do get attacked. Most players will hit you on sight unless you’re with a group.
Yeah, it’s frustrating. I try to stick to safer zones when questing.
It’s a PvP area, and players aren’t obligated to avoid you while you’re questing. Expect to encounter resistance. Embrace the challenge or team up with others to create a squad. If you’re a PvE player, just be aware that you might have to fight your way through some encounters!
Just to clarify, does the Cloak ability actually make you invisible to other players? I’ve seen people in town use it, but I assume they’re on the same side as me.
