I’m playing Minecraft and recently stumbled upon an ancient city. Unfortunately, I got hit by a skeleton and fell to my death. I’m trying to load a backup, but it takes me back half an hour instead of just before I got hit. Is there a way for me to set my own custom backup so that I can restore my game right before my unfortunate fall?

You can definitely create your own backups in Minecraft! Normally, backups are manual unless you have a mod to automate them. Just make sure to copy your world save file before you go on any risky adventures! After you’ve made a backup, you’ll be able to restore from it whenever you need.
To create a manual backup, you can simply navigate to your Minecraft saves folder (it’s usually located in your .minecraft directory). Just copy the entire folder of your world and paste it somewhere safe. That way, if you mess up, you can just replace the folder with your backup.
Thanks! So I just need to keep making copies of my world regularly, right?
