Hey everyone! I have a trip planned to Norway on June 24th that will last 30 days, and I really want to bring my gaming PC with me since I use it for work. It’s housed in a Fractal North Tower case, but I’m worried about how to transport it. I definitely don’t want to check it in as luggage. I’ve been searching for a carry-on suitcase that would fit the tower, but it seems all the options I find are either slightly too big or too small for United’s carry-on restrictions. If worse comes to worst, I have two checked bags paid for, so I could pack the PC with all components packed safely in their original boxes and the case padded with foam. Still, I’d prefer to keep it with me. Any suggestions on suitable carry-on bags? Appreciate your help!

Most airlines limit carry-on weight to about 7kg, and since your setup is likely pretty hefty, I doubt the Fractal North will qualify. I had to downsize to an ITX system for travel, and even that was a challenge. You might want to just prepare your PC for check-in with lots of padding and proper packaging instead.
I feel your pain! I ended up checking my full tower after packing it securely. Just make sure to label everything and use foam, so it doesn’t move around in transit. You could also try looking for a custom bag that fits your case if you really want to carry it on.
Honestly, taking your full-sized tower on a long trip sounds risky. I would suggest considering if you could go 30 days without it because transporting a PC can lead to damage. Have you thought about using a portable workstation until you get back?
I get that, but I really need it for work. A laptop won’t cut it for my needs.
