I’m really struggling to run Minecraft on my ancient setup. Here are my specs: I’ve got an Intel Core 2 Duo E7500, 4GB of RAM, and a 120GB SSD, and I’m running Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. Every time I try to launch Minecraft, I get error 65543, which is driving me up the wall! Can anyone help me out? I just want to play with my friends!

Error 65543 usually means you need to update your graphics drivers. Do you know what GPU you have? If it’s as old as your CPU, it might struggle to run Minecraft since it’s below the minimum requirements. Just a heads up!
First up, try restarting your PC and see if the error is still there. Make sure your graphics drivers are updated and that you have Java or OpenJDK installed. Once you manage to get Minecraft running, consider downloading the Fabulously Optimized modpack for a serious boost in performance!
True, but even if it could help, with a Core 2 Duo, you’re still looking at only a couple of FPS!
Yeah, I have a feeling he’s using integrated graphics, which just won’t cut it.
