I’m in a tough situation. My dad recently passed away, and we used to enjoy playing Pokémon Go together as a family. We had some decent accounts even though we hadn’t played since 2016, but with everyone back in the game now, we wanted to include my dad’s account for our trips. The issue is that his email, which he used to sign up, has been closed for two years, so I can’t log in. I’ve tried reaching out to Pokémon Go support through their bot, but they require specific details about his account (like unwearable clothing, last tasks completed, and Pokécoin balance), and since I don’t have that information, I’m stuck. The bot hasn’t been helpful either. I’m really hoping someone here can provide some guidance. Thank you!

Hey, I’m really sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. For recovering his account, it might help to tell support that you accidentally used a work or school email for his account and that you no longer have access to it. I’ve heard that this can sometimes get you more assistance. Keep us posted, and good luck—I’m rooting for you!
Thanks for the tip! Have you had success with this approach before?
I hope you get his account back, man. It sounds really rough. If you keep trying different ways to reach support, one of them might just work! Hang in there!
Yes, I’ll definitely mention that when I contact support. Thanks a lot!
