I’m looking for ways to play Minecraft Bedrock on Linux without spending much. Does anyone have tips or methods to do this, preferably for free?

I mean, there are ways to get it for free, but that’s a bit shady, you know? If you just look around, you’ll probably find the info. Just be careful if you decide to go that route.
Check out the Luanti + VoxeLibre package. It’s an alternative, and it’s all free, so you won’t be giving Microsoft any of your money! But keep in mind it might not replace Minecraft for most folks, especially with the community and available mods.
Using Wine might be an option, but I’d suggest just going for the Java version since it runs well on Linux anyway. Plus, honestly, Bedrock can be pretty buggy, even on Windows.
Honestly, fighting to get Bedrock running on Linux isn’t worth the hassle. If you want to play cross-platform with friends, consider hosting a Geyser server so you and Java players can connect with Bedrock users, or just buy the game on the Google Play Store and use the Minecraft Bedrock Launcher from Flathub.
You can use the Minecraft Bedrock Launcher available on Flathub. It’s been working great for me! Just keep in mind you’ll need to already have purchased Minecraft from the Google Play Store—it’s about £7, but after that, you can play it just fine, even with Xbox and multiplayer support.
