I’ve been experiencing significant performance issues with my PC since the launch of TWW. My loading screens take forever, I often get terrain glitches when first loading the game, and overall, playing has become really frustrating. Prior to this, my PC handled things just fine during Dragonflight. Here’s my setup: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER, Intel Core i3-10105F @ 3.70 GHz, 16 GB RAM, and Windows 10 on a dedicated SSD. I know it’s not high-end, but I’m wondering if upgrading my RAM to 32 GB or even 64 GB could help, especially since I often run dual screens and have other programs like Spotify and YouTube open at the same time. I also have an older PC at my mother’s place with a GeForce GT 1030, Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10 GHz, and 8 GB RAM, which has turned nearly unplayable lately. Could upgrades to either PC alleviate these issues, or am I better off saving for a new build?

Totally agree, the i3 will struggle under load. Also, be sure to check your add-ons; some can really hog CPU resources. Disabling unneeded ones might help performance, too!
Consider moving WoW to the SSD if it’s not there already. That could improve loading times significantly, especially if you’re multitasking with other programs.
It sounds like your biggest bottleneck is your CPU. WoW is really heavy on CPU, and your i3 is on the lower side. While RAM is important, upgrading to 32 GB may not fix your main issues. I’d recommend looking into upgrading your CPU first. That could have the most impact!
You can find decent upgrade options for your i3, maybe try a mid-range CPU like the i5 series. Just check compatibility with your motherboard!
If your PC is going to struggle during intensive gameplay, future-proofing is key. Look into building a new setup with more cores and a solid GPU down the line. For now, small upgrades could help, but a new build would definitely be the best option eventually.
Honestly, you’re running on old hardware, and that’s tough. More RAM won’t work miracles if your CPU is the weak link. You might want to think about a used pre-built rig for an upgrade that doesn’t break the bank.
Exactly! That video I found on optimizing WoW settings helped me a ton with performance. If you haven’t stumbled upon it, definitely check out guides on managing add-ons.
