I’m looking to buy the new Steam Deck OLED 512 from the official website, but I’ve noticed the price in USD is lower than what I’d pay in Poland, about $677. Is there any way to pay in USD to save money, or are there region locks and taxes I should be aware of?

I’d be cautious about buying used or pre-owned devices — it may not be worth the risk for just a few dollars saved. However, if you see a good deal on OLX for a sealed unit, it could be a solid option, as many sellers are turning game items into cash.
You might want to check OLX. I’ve seen brand new sealed units going for about $100 less than retail. Some sellers say they bought them using money from selling in-game items like skins or knives. For example, I snagged a new 1TB OLED for around $650 via OLX! Just be aware of the delivery time and potential warranty concerns.
The price listed in the US usually doesn’t include taxes. Even if you manage to import one from the US, customs duties will add a 23% tax when you receive it. By the time you factor in these additional costs, you’d probably find that buying locally is cheaper. Plus, you’ll have to consider warranty issues with an imported device.
