Lately, I’ve been experiencing a big drop in my FPS while gaming. A few months ago, I was easily getting 70 to 100 FPS, but now it averages around 40. I’ve tried switching the game to use DirectX 11 like some people suggested, but that didn’t help at all. My setup includes a Radeon RX 6600, Ryzen 5 3600, an ASRock B450M Pro4 MicroATX motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM from the Ripjaw V series, and a 1TB SSD. Graphics settings are mostly on balanced or low. Any ideas or tips to improve performance would be appreciated!

I’ve had a similar issue before and what helped me was trying out an app called lossless scaling. It basically scales the game’s resolution in a way that improves performance without messing up visuals too much. It’s like a middle ground between quality and frame rate.
First off, make sure your graphics settings are really optimized. You mentioned keeping things on balanced or low, which is good. Some folks find mods that reduce graphics effects can help a lot — there are hardcore graphic-lowering mods out there that can lighten the load significantly if your game supports mods.
Thanks, I’ll check out those mods and see if they actually make a difference on my end.
Yeah, lossless scaling or stuff like fluid motion frame interpolation is almost a must these days. Even with solid hardware like mine (a 9070xt), some planets or areas in games can tank frame rates. Locking your FPS to something stable like 72 and using framegen software can smooth things out a ton.
