My Xbox Series X has a broken HDMI port; it seems like two of the pins have been bent out of place. Is there any DIY fix I can attempt, or are there alternative ways to connect my Xbox to the TV? Or will I have to shell out for a repair?

Honestly, HDMI ports can really be a pain. If you’re in the UK, check out CEX; they might offer a repair service with a no-fix, no-fee policy. Just drop it off and see what they say!
Anything can be fixed with the right tools and know-how! But if you’re unsure about your skills, it might be better to let a professional handle the repair. Less stress that way!
HDMI ports can be pretty fragile, unfortunately. The best way to handle this is usually to solder in a new port. If you’re handy with tools and have some experience, you might consider trying that yourself, but it can be tricky.
Yeah, if you’ve never done soldering before, it might be a steep learning curve. Sometimes just paying a pro is worth it.
If you’re comfortable with taking things apart, look up some teardown videos on YouTube. They can guide you through the process, but just make sure you’re careful!
Punching it isn’t usually the answer, haha! But seriously, you could also keep an eye on forums and community boards for advice specific to your issue or find a local repair shop that specializes in consoles.
True! Paying for a fix can save you a lot of headaches, especially if you’re not into DIY.
