I’m a Japanese player wanting to see Japanese text in both Roblox games and the Roblox app, but instead, I’m getting Roblox logos or invalid characters. I’ve joined games where others are communicating in Japanese, so I know it’s possible for them to see the characters. The Roblox website works fine for viewing Japanese, but the desktop app doesn’t, and I can only access games through that player app. I’d like some advice on how to solve this issue. I don’t think it’s a bug or a problem with my account; I just didn’t know how else to categorize this question.

It sounds like you might be missing the right fonts needed for Japanese text to display in the app. You might want to check if your font settings are correctly configured. Sometimes reinstalling the app can help, too! Just uninstall and reinstall Roblox; that might fix the issue. Good luck!
Make sure you’ve got all the necessary language packs installed on your PC. If not, try installing the source files that come with Roblox, as that could solve the font problem. Alternatively, some users suggest using Bloxstrap along with the right fonts. It’s worth a shot if nothing else works!
Your Roblox client might be corrupt. If uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t help, try to clear out any leftover files from the previous installation before you reinstall it. That could refresh everything, and you might start seeing Japanese text properly!
