Hey everyone! I’m new to Linux Mint and just built my first PC. I’ve decided to skip Windows (especially since their location requests annoy me) and I’m currently using a 9070 XT with a massive 49-inch ultra-wide display, pushing my system hard at 4K. Since Linux offers more customization compared to Windows, I’m wondering if there’s a way to enable FSR support on Linux Mint like on the Steam Deck? I’m really hoping to boost my FPS since my 9070 XT struggles with this resolution. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Honestly, Mint isn’t the best for gaming right now. It’s based on Ubuntu, which doesn’t keep up with the latest updates as well as others. Think about switching to an Arch or Fedora-based distro for a more up-to-date gaming experience. I use Bazzite, which has Gamescope, and it works great!
You can check out Gamescope for FSR support! It’s a great tool that helps with performance. Just make sure you’re using at least kernel version 6.13.5 and Mesa 25.1 for better compatibility. Here’s the GitHub link for more details: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope.
I’ve heard of Bazzite but is it well-regarded? I picked Mint because of its popularity and perceived security. Just trying to confirm its reputation before diving deeper.
