I’m looking for some help diagnosing errors with my DualSense controller. The other day, I stepped out of the room, and when I came back, the controller suddenly stopped working. It didn’t hit the floor hard, and there’s no visible damage, so I’m a bit puzzled. The only parts that seem to work are the joysticks, while all the face buttons and triggers are totally unresponsive. I tried using the reset button, but that didn’t help either. Is there a way to figure out what’s wrong with it? Also, if I decide to fix it, are there any button replacement kits compatible with the DualSense, or are they just for the DualSense Edge?

You might want to try resetting it again using the guide from PlayStation’s support page. Sometimes the reset doesn’t ‘stick’ if there’s a glitch. It might also help to check the battery or give it some time to charge before trying again. If none of that works, you could be looking at a hardware issue. As for replacements, there are some kits specifically for the DualSense, so you should be good there!
How old is your controller? If it’s been a few years, wear and tear could be a factor, especially if it’s been dropped at all. Sometimes the internal connectors can loosen over time. If you’re not comfortable with opening it up, a local repair shop might help you out.
It’s a few years old now, so that might make sense. I’ll consider the repair option!

Thanks! I’ll give the reset another shot and look into those replacement kits.
