Hey everyone! I’m trying to build a new PC, but I’d love to keep the total cost down to about $1000. Here’s the list of parts I was considering. I’m currently looking at an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X for the CPU, and a bunch of other components. Do you think I can make cost-effective changes without losing much in performance? Any suggestions for parts that are cheaper but still good? Thanks!

Another solid way to bring down your cost is to switch the SSD. Instead of your current one, consider the Hynix Platinum P41, which is cheaper and still performs well. And you could also go with a smaller, budget-friendly CPU cooler instead of the bigger models — there are some great options out there!
You could definitely get under $1000 by swapping out a few parts. I’d recommend looking for a cheaper B650 motherboard and maybe downgrading to a Ryzen 5 7600. That would let you save some cash without sacrificing too much performance. Also, the stock cooler that comes with the 7600 should be sufficient, which helps cut costs even more!
Just so you know, I’m not sure if the RAM you picked is compatible with that motherboard. You might want to check the motherboard’s supported memory list just to be safe. You can find it on the Gigabyte website. A few choices for RAM could definitely keep your performance strong while saving some bucks!
I checked and it looks like it’s listed, but I appreciate the heads up!
