How Can I Create a Retro Gaming Machine with an Old PC?

I was reminiscing about retro gaming during school and thought it would be awesome to introduce my young cousins to it. So I’m curious—can I take an older business PC and set it up with a custom operating system that includes emulators? Keep in mind I’m not really great at coding and my Python skills are pretty basic!

Retrobat is another solid option. There are plenty of how-to videos on YouTube that can guide you through the installation process. It’s super helpful for setting up emulators without diving deep into coding.

If you’re looking for affordable game storage, there’s a Kinhank 500GB hard drive you can grab on AliExpress for under $15. Just make it your boot drive, and a lot of PCs should run just fine with it. If you have an old Windows PC, you can also just download emulators and ROMs directly to play.
