I’ve been trying to get better at playing Wrecking Ball, but I feel like Ana’s new perk really puts me at a disadvantage. When she uses that perk that slows me down after getting slept, I just can’t seem to recover. Even with max health and the adaptive shield, if I get hit by her sleep dart, I’m done for—unless Kiriko is around to cleanse me, but that doesn’t happen often in solo queue. Feels like no matter what I do, it’s tough to escape her. I’ve tried baiting the sleep dart, but she seems to save it just for me, and dodging is hard since she waits for an easy shot, especially when I’m diving in. Why did they give Ana this ability when her supposed weakness is fast, agile characters? Any tips on how to handle this as Ball?

Honestly, Ana’s been a hard counter to tanks for a while now, especially those without shields. Your best bet is to try to dive her with some DPS support to take her out before she can hit you with that sleep dart.
Yeah, if you’re diving in as Ball, you really have to land your hits fast because if Ana gets that sleep dart off, it’s game over. Just keep the pressure up on her, and hopefully your teammates notice to help put her down quickly.
If you’re running into a problem, consider playing with a tank that has some form of shield or block. It can help reduce the chances of getting slept or at least give you a better edge against her.
It’s wild how that sleep perk seems busted against Ball, but doesn’t really affect other heroes as much. Feels pretty unbalanced, right? You might even want to try rotating some other heroes for a while until they address this.
Right? It’s almost like they need to rebalance things for heroes like Ball who get targeted hard by these new abilities.
Totally agree. It’s frustrating when certain perks seem designed to counter just one character. Diversifying your hero pool a bit might save you some headaches.
