I attempted to catch the first Dynamax Pokémon but unfortunately failed and exited the encounter. Now I’m stuck because I can’t progress to the next event to catch another since my particle count is already maxed out. What steps can I take to encounter the next Dynamax Pokémon?

Just a heads up, you can actually acquire a Dynamax Pokémon through trading if you’re in a pinch! If someone in your friend circle has one, that could save you some hassle. But definitely focus on those Max Research tasks as well!
It sounds like you need to complete the Max Research tasks first before you can catch any more Dynamax Pokémon. Usually, the first one from those tasks shouldn’t run away! If you accidentally bailed, you might need to wait until you have enough particles again to claim another encounter. So be sure to keep gathering those particles! If they’re all used up, you may have to wait for a reset.
I think you might be hitting a cap on the particles. You can only have a max of 1600, so if you’ve reached that limit, it’s game over for that aspect until the next refresh. I recommend checking if you can do any power stops to regain some particles or check with friends to trade!
