I’m wondering if there’s a reliable way to play my Steam Deck games on my TV. Are there safe methods to do this without risking damage to my equipment?

Honestly, I do about 95% of my gaming with my Steam Deck hooked up to my TV. Just grab a USB-C hub for power, HDMI output, and maybe a USB A for a wireless controller if you want. Works great for me!
It’s risky to actually sit on your TV while playing, especially if you have a modern one since they’re pretty thin. Instead, I recommend using a dock that has an HDMI port. You can find options like the upgraded docking station from Jsaux or the official Steam dock. Just be cautious, because some docks won’t work well if your Deck has a case, like the official one. I use a different dock that fits my case perfectly!
You don’t even need a dongle! My Bluetooth Xbox controller connects easily to the Deck.
