I’m really struggling with Twine SSD 7. I’ve tried it about seven times now, and the problem is that I have multiple smashers and flingers to deal with. I know I’m underpowered, and while I can manage most waves, those smashers are driving me crazy since they insta-respawn. I feel like grinding for weeks just to upgrade my gear is a waste of time. I used to enjoy the game, but now it seems so repetitive, especially going through those long missions just for one upgrade. Any tips to handle this?

It sounds like you’re really feeling the struggle. Since you mentioned being underpowered, definitely consider setting up trap tunnels. They can help clear out regular husks quickly, allowing you to focus on the smashers and flingers. Also, make sure to check out some videos for strategies; they can make a huge difference!
You have a few options here. Either recruit some other players to help out, improve your defensive setup, or grind a bit to boost your power level. I solo’d a smasher wave at power level 124 myself, so it’s definitely possible! Check out this video for some pointers on how I pulled it off.
For the flingers, using a ninja character works wonders, especially with the Soaring Mantis team perk. Just build tall walls in front of your amp and load them with anti-airs. For the smashers, make sure to position tires three tiles high at spawning points can really catch them off guard. Hope this helps!
I’m at power level 74, so your advice sounds good and all, but a lot of it feels way over my head! Any chance you could simplify that a bit for us lower levels?
I’ve tried those trap tunnels too, and they work great! It took me a couple of tries to get the setup right, but once I did, it made managing the waves way easier.
