Why not go for a PS5? The price gap between a used PS4 Pro and a PS5 can be worth it if you’re considering longevity. But hey, if you’re set on the PS4 Pro, just make sure the seller seems trustworthy and the console looks legit. Do your research!
The first thing you should look at is whether the seller has good ratings. If they’re new or have no feedback, that’s a big red flag. Also, check the seal on the box; it should have a circle tab sticker. If it’s poorly sealed, that could mean it’s been tampered with. If you’re meeting in person, weigh the risks—picking it up is riskier than buying online where you can at least file a complaint if something’s wrong.
Honestly, I’d recommend just buying new if you’re worried about scams. Ping the extra cash for a new PS4 Pro rather than risk it with a used one. Just make sure the price difference isn’t that huge compared to a PS5. If it is, maybe go for the PS5 instead!
