Hey everyone! Ever since the latest update, it feels like soloing EN06 has become a real drag. Initially, I thought I could take it down with my usual melee and autoaxe combo, but that didn’t go so well. My gatling plasma couldn’t hit the shield generator, and with EN06 stopping its firing, the ricochet perk wasn’t doing anything. I eventually gave up because it was clear this would take ages with melee.
After that, I switched to a Heavy Gunner build with my optimized gatling plasma. It seemed like I needed two bunkers just to get through the shield, and I was burning through stimpaks and ammo way faster than before the update.
Then I tried going back to my autoaxe but in third-person view, which surprisingly helped in hitting the shield generator. However, I found I needed to chug tons of canned coffee to keep my AP up, and when EN06 stopped firing again, I lost that advantage. It took me nearly three minutes to get the shield down to 1%, only for EN06 to toss me off the platform and kill me before I could finish it off.
Has anyone else faced this? What’s your current strategy for farming EN06? By the way, I’m also noticing a nerf on the XP, and it seems like the infinite button glitch is patched now.

My approach hasn’t changed much either, except now I actually need to pull the trigger in VATS instead of relying on ricochet to take down the shield. It drops pretty quickly, usually in about 10 seconds, and then I just go for the autoaxe attack to its torso. Honestly, it feels easier since EN06 doesn’t shoot at you from the platform anymore, so the risk of dying is way lower.
Yeah, your experience matches what I’ve seen with the changes. For XP, I never really keep track of it, that’s not why I run EN06. As for the button glitch, it’s been fixed for now—but who knows what clever players might come up with next! Currently, the best way to bring down the shield is by doing limb damage, and I’d recommend using a shotgun, like the Pepper Shaker.
I actually posted earlier about my quick kill times. I managed to get them down to a minute using the pepper shaker and autoaxe without any chems or coffee! With a couple of tweaks, I think I can shave it down to the 40-second mark. It’s super efficient now!
That’s awesome! But I noticed your post got deleted. If you have it saved somewhere, I’d love to see how you did it!
