I’ve been struggling to get decent frame rates while playing The Last of Us Part 2 on my Steam Deck. No matter what I try, I can only manage around 27-28 FPS. I’ve followed all the guides and even switched to the Steam Deck preset. I’m really at a loss here; any tips on how to boost my FPS?

Make sure you’re actually using the Steam Deck preset; it really optimizes performance. Also, try lowering some graphic settings manually. Sometimes tweaking a couple of values can get you those extra frames you’re looking for.
If you’re still stuck in the 20s, it might be worth checking your device’s thermal state. Overheating can throttle performance. Clean out any dust or find a cooling pad for better airflow. That could help you hit those 40 FPS targets.
Honestly, the game can be quite demanding. A lot of people are just playing on lower settings or even tuning things down to medium. Don’t be afraid to experiment with some graphics options!
