I’m trying to buy a PS5 for my partner, but I’m torn between getting the disc version or the digital one. The digital version is cheaper, but I want to know if I can access all the games, especially Call of Duty. Also, if anyone knows which model is the newest, I’d really appreciate the help!

Definitely go for the disc version! It’s the easiest choice for the long run, especially if your partner has any physical PS4 games they want to play. You’ll also have the option to buy Call of Duty both on disc and digitally. If you’re not super concerned about high graphics or FPS, the regular PS5 with a disc drive should work great for you.
If you can track one down, I’d suggest a PS5 Pro with a disc drive, but if not, the slim version is also a solid choice!
For sure, I’d say stick with the disc version. It covers you for future game purchases and is handy for movies too.
If your partner already owns some PS4 games in physical format, just go with the disc version. If this is their first console, the digital version is an option, but keep the future in mind!
I’d recommend going for the disc version. It gives you more flexibility since you can collect physical copies and not worry about losing access to your games. Plus, the disc version doubles as a Blu-ray/DVD player, which is a nice bonus! Just a heads-up, if you prefer a full digital library, you’ll probably end up needing to upgrade the SSD later due to storage limits.
