I’ve encountered a serious bug in Oblivion Remastered. I found this portal, which I think is called an Oblivion Gate, and after exploring, I couldn’t figure out how to progress due to a locked door. So, I decided to leave, but when I exited through the portal, I ended up stuck in a rock formation. I can move a little, but I’m essentially trapped and can see the rock outline enclosing me. I’ve tried reloading my game about 50 times, but I’m stuck in the same spot. To make matters worse, I’ve run out of previous save slots because my game only lets me save six slots, and all my earlier saves got overwritten. I really don’t want to restart the game after all the bugs I’ve experienced. Is there a way out of this situation, or should I consider asking for a refund?

If you’re on PC, you could try using a console command. Type ‘TCL’ in the console to toggle collision off, which should let you walk through the rock you’re stuck in. Just be aware that this may disable achievements for that session!
Have you tried fast traveling to a different location? Sometimes that can help you escape stuck spots. And yeah, I feel you on the save slots—it’s a big no-no in Bethesda games to limit saves like that. You should definitely look into how to increase your save limit for future play.
I haven’t played the original either, but it seems wild to limit saves in a game with so many paths. You can actually change your save settings in the game files on PC to allow more save slots!
Thanks! I’m on PC, so I’ll give that a shot. I just hope it doesn’t mess with my achievements too much.
