I just installed Pop OS, and I’m having trouble getting Splitgate 2 to launch. It’s the first game I’m trying to run through Proton. When I click to launch it, it briefly tries to start, but then it just loops back to the launch button. I did try using the launch option `PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%`, but it didn’t help. I also experimented with setting the Proton version to experimental, but no luck there either. I heard that Splitgate has Linux support, so I was really looking forward to playing it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT: I got it working in the end! The issue was that my drive was still NTFS from my Windows installation. I found a helpful guide for keeping NTFS, but I decided to format it to ext4 instead. Now it launches perfectly and seems to perform just as well as on Windows; I’m using Proton GE 10-4. Although, I’m experiencing some stuttering issues that I also faced on Windows.

Have you tried using the Steam beta version of Proton? The 10.x versions are said to work better than the standard ones. Just skip the command line arguments for now and see if it helps!
I’ve tried standard Proton, experimental, and the 10 versions. I’m about to test GE out now. Also, I’m still setting up my distro, so I’m even open to switching if it means better compatibility. Let me know if you have any distro recommendations!
