I’ve been facing a frustrating issue where Overwatch crashes just a minute into the game or even while I’m hanging out in the lobby. I reached out to Blizzard for help, but their response was less than helpful. It seems like the game might be having trouble with video resources from an external source, or it’s losing connection with the rendering device. What’s worse is that every application crashes alongside Overwatch, and even though I’ve tried closing everything and have no overlays running, the crashes keep happening. I just can’t deal with this anymore!

I haven’t touched Overwatch in over a month because it just wouldn’t run for more than two minutes without crashing! I got an error code too, but honestly, diagnosing it is a pain. I play games like Star Citizen and can usually tackle tech issues, so it’s doubly frustrating. My setup is pretty solid too: a Core i9-14900KF and an RTX 4090 with 64GB of RAM. So, I’m at a loss here. Has anyone else had luck with troubleshooting these crashes?
Man, that sounds super frustrating! I totally get where you’re coming from; I think I had a similar issue. Check if your Nvidia drivers are up to date. If they are, you might wanna roll back to a previous version, like the 566 from December. Some players have found that version to be a lot more stable for Overwatch. Give that a try!
Yeah, I heard the new drivers were causing havoc for a lot of people. Rolling back really helped me out, too!
Your setup is beastly! It might just be a software issue rather than hardware. Have you tried checking the game files or any bug report forums for specific solutions?
