I’m struggling to recall the name of a game I played on PC. It’s a first-person RPG available on Steam, but not VR-exclusive. The concept is somewhat similar to Superliminal, but it’s neither Stanley Parable, Viewfinder, Maquette, nor Quantum Break. In the game, you repeatedly go through the same day until the room glitches and reveals that you’re actually in a lab or warehouse, possibly an office or penthouse. There’s a feature where you can toggle the outside window view, which appears quite real. Once you leave the room, the rest of the area resembles a constructed set, and I think there’s an elevator involved. Any ideas?

I’m with the others on this. ‘Prey’ is probably what you’re looking for. It kicks off just as you’ve described, with the day-resetting in a fake environment. Give it a quick search and see if the images spark a memory.
Pretty sure that’s ‘Prey’ from 2017. The beginning of the game starts with a similar kind of illusion and setting you described. Definitely look it up; it matches your description.
It really sounds a lot like the opening sequence from ‘Prey’ (2017). You are stuck in this seemingly normal environment which turns out to be part of a larger experiment setup. Check it out; I’m convinced it’s the game you’re talking about.
