I was moving some stuff around last night and accidentally knocked the power cable out of my PS5 while it was still on. I plugged it back in, but now it just won’t turn on at all. I left it unplugged all night, but that didn’t help either. My flatmate tried using the power cable from his PS5 on mine, and it still wouldn’t power up. However, after he plugged his PS5 back in, his also stopped working! Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? We’ve tried different cables and outlets without any luck.

It sounds like the power supply unit (PSU) might be broken. That could explain why both your PS5 and your flatmate’s one are having issues. Definitely get it checked out to see if that’s the case!
