Hey everyone! I’m having a major issue with my PC. It worked fine in the morning, but when I tried to turn it on that night, the blue LED on the case started to blink slowly, almost like it’s in standby mode. I don’t see any BIOS or POST screens, just a blank ‘no signal’ from my MacBook, which I use as a monitor with a capture card and OBS. Usually, I can access BIOS by pressing F2, but that’s not happening right now.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
1. Reseated the GPU.
2. Reseated the RAM in different slots (I only have one stick).
3. Cleared the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and shorting the CLRTC jumper.
4. Uninstalled and reinstalled the SSD.
5. Disassembled and reassembled everything, including cleaning the motherboard.
I can’t believe a supposedly unplugged system would fail within 12 hours of last being used. All the fans are working fine, and I checked all cables. The last thing I did was play some Elden Ring and turn off the PC through Steam Big Picture mode. Oh, and here are my specs:
– Core i5 12400f
– Asrock Challenger OC RX 6750 XT
– Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz 16GBx1 DDR4
– ASUS Prime H610m E D4
– Deepcool PK650D 650w PSU
– Deepcool Gammaxx AG400
– WD Black SN770 NVMe 1 TB
I really need some help! Thanks!

It sounds like your GPU might be having issues if there’s no signal at all. Try using a different HDMI or display cable. If your CPU has integrated graphics, connect to your motherboard instead. If the fans are running but nothing else is happening, it could also be a sign of a problem with your GPU. If you can’t get it sorted with basic troubleshooting, consider taking it to a local shop—they can swap out parts to see if the GPU is the culprit. Also, I’ve had luck unplugging the power cord and holding the power button for about 30 seconds. Sometimes PCs just need a little reset!
I tried using my HDMI with my work laptop, and it worked instantly, so the cable’s fine. My mobo doesn’t have any debug lights, and since my CPU is the i5-12400f, there’s no integrated graphics. I did the power cord unplug trick, but no luck. I might have to seek a repair shop, but they’re all a bit shady around here!
