Hey everyone! I recently moved to a new house, and now I’m having trouble getting my PC to run games. Most of the basic stuff like Discord and Google seems to work fine, but whenever I try to launch a game on Steam—like Dead By Daylight—it gets stuck during loading. Even smaller games like Among Us won’t launch at all. Interestingly, Fortnite works fine through the Epic Games launcher. I’m not sure what’s causing this issue, so any insights would be appreciated! First things first, double-check where your monitor cable is plugged in. If it’s plugged into your motherboard instead of your GPU, that’s likely the issue. Your games need to be using the dedicated graphics card to run properly!
Make sure nothing got unplugged during your move, especially the GPU power connections and the motherboard. Sometimes, cables can loosen up when you shift things around. If you’re unsure if something got messed up inside, you can take off the side panel of your case and visually inspect everything or reseat the components if you’re comfortable with that.
