I just finished building a new PC with Pop!_OS and I’m using an Nvidia 5070 Ti. Previously, I would get over 100 FPS in Guild Wars 2 while just standing around, but now I’m struggling with only 1-9 FPS. I’m running Lutris with the lutris-GE-Proton8-26-x86_64 and my setup includes: an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, 32GB of RAM, and I’m setup at a resolution of 2560×1440. Can anyone help me figure out what could be causing this drastic drop in performance?

It sounds like you might need to check the drivers you’re using. The 50 series graphics cards often perform better with open drivers, but the Nvidia proprietary driver should also be set up correctly. Make sure you’re using the latest version, ideally the open flavor of version 570.
Have you made sure your GPU is being utilized while you’re playing? Sometimes it might not be activating properly for gaming apps. Check your BIOS settings to ensure that your discrete GPU (dGPU) is enabled; it’s good that you mentioned it’s set to Enabled.
Yeah, I did check that in the BIOS, and it’s set to Enabled. So that should be fine, right?
Honestly, why do people always try to run the latest hardware on an operating system that isn’t optimized for it? That might be part of your issues, but also, make sure you’re using the latest drivers available for Optimum performance.
Not super helpful, but thanks for the input, I guess.
Yeah, sounds like a driver issue. Just checking, what version do you have? If you run ‘nvidia-smi’, you should see it. If it’s anything below 570.86.16, that could be why you’re seeing low FPS.
