Hey everyone, I just built a new PC and I’m experiencing major frame drops while playing Fortnite. The game’s performance seems to fluctuate wildly, going from 240 FPS down to as low as 20 FPS. I’m using an RTX 2060 graphics card, a 12400F processor, and I have 16 GB of RAM, but I can’t figure out what’s going wrong. Any tips or insights would be really appreciated!

It sounds like your system should handle Fortnite just fine, but there might be something causing that drop. Have you checked your background processes? Sometimes other applications can hog resources. Also, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date! If you’re running any overlays (like from Discord or GeForce Experience), try disabling them and see if your frames stabilize.

Yeah, good call on the overlays. They can really mess with FPS if there’s too much going on. Also, maybe try lowering some settings in the game if things don’t improve.
