Hey everyone! I just started my journey in World of Warcraft this week, and I’m having a frustrating issue. I’m using the Silvermoon Sweeper mount, but whenever I press the spacebar to fly, it just hops instead of taking off. This problem started unexpectedly after I stepped away for a bit. I was in Meredil, Suramar, enjoying the scenery, and once I returned, flying became impossible. I’m really struggling to get around without it! With the game not doing a great job of guiding new players and the lore being so scattered, I’m feeling overwhelmed and even considered quitting. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like it could be a bug, especially if you were fine flying before! There’s a discussion on it that might help: it mentions a bugged quest in Suramar. I recommend trying to hearth home and see if that resets things for you. Good luck!
Make sure you’re not in a zone where flying is disabled. Maybe try heaving back to your home and giving it another shot? It could also help to check if you’ve accidentally changed your flight style or if there’s a debuff showing up in the top right of your screen. Just some troubleshooting steps!
I checked, and it says ‘Flight Style: Steady.’ How do I change that if needed?
Have you tried pressing the spacebar again while in the air? Sometimes that can reactivate it if there’s a delay. Also, just to rule it out, check if you’re in an area that might not allow flying, although Meredil should be fine.
I tried that and it just doesn’t work! I’m pretty sure it’s not a restricted area either.
OMG THANK YOU!!!! IT WORKS!
