I’ve been playing on PS5 with a heavily modded setup for a while now. I held off on updating to patch 8 because I was worried it would mess up my campaign, but despite disabling auto-update, it installed anyway. Now, my game is a buggy mess—constant crashes, issues with the character sheet, lag in battles, and all sorts of weird visual glitches. I’m in Act 3 with about 400 hours in, and I really don’t want to just start a new un-modded run. I’ve tried updating the mods, but it told me to revert to an older version. I can’t remove the mods either without risking my current save. What should I do? Should I just tough it out with these glitches? I’m really close to the end, but some days it’s just unbearable!

Dude, I get where you’re coming from. I haven’t had much luck either on PS5. Even with no mods, it’s been a glitchy mess. The latest update seems to have broken a lot of things, making it so frustrating to play.
I’ve been having a terrible time on PS5 as well. It crashed multiple times in the same spot last night. I had to reload my save and redo a bunch just to hit the same issue again. Not sure if it’s a Larian problem or just Sony screwing up with mod updates.
Sounds like a nightmare! I can’t even believe it’s that bad with an unmodded game too. I’m really hoping they address these issues quickly because it’s just ruining the experience.
Honestly, I’m surprised you’re even managing to get through with the mods. I’ve had only minor crashes, but I did notice some weird cutscene glitches with too many characters. The patch really messed with how the game runs, no doubt about it.
Yeah, the latest hotfix really messed things up on consoles. Even unmodded games are facing issues. Hopefully, they’ll roll out another hotfix soon to actually fix the game rather than just patching things up.
That sounds really frustrating! I was looking forward to diving into a new run without the bugs too, but if you’re on console, it really seems like we’re stuck with it for a bit. Fingers crossed they sort it out soon!
Oh man, I’m also on PS5. Last night I got the color swirl bug during a crucial part, and I couldn’t see anything! It was a total nightmare, but somehow I pulled through. It’s insane how buggy it is right now.
So you’re saying even without mods, the game’s unplayable? That’s wild! I thought that might solve the issue but seems like it’s just a problem all around.
