I received a Fortnite V-Bucks gift card from my mom, but when I tried to redeem it, the code came back as invalid. I entered it multiple times and even attempted to type it backwards—still nothing. I even checked under the scratch-off area to see if there was another code hidden, but no luck. Is this just a scam, or is there something wrong with the card?

Honestly, if you’re getting an ‘invalid code’ message, that usually means the code is not active. It might be better to talk to your mom about it. Sometimes these cards can be faulty or ineffective if purchased second hand. Don’t forget to check the instructions on the back of the card too!
Make sure you’re using the official Fortnite redemption page. You can find it at www.fortnite.com/vbuckscard. If you’ve done all that and it’s still not working, then it’s definitely a problem with the card itself!
Yep, I tried that too, and it just won’t accept the code. Starting to think it might be a total scam.
If you bought the card secondhand, there’s a good chance it could be a scam. Sometimes people sell activated codes or fake cards online. Definitely reach out to your mom and figure out where she got it from.
It sounds like you might be entering the code on the wrong platform. If you’re using Xbox, make sure to visit the website printed on the card and select your system. It should give you another code to redeem. I had a similar issue, and it worked for me!
Totally! Just checked the Fortnite site, and you need to select your console to get the correct steps. Make sure you do that!
Yeah, I get it! I’ve followed the instructions step-by-step before, and it still didn’t work. It’s frustrating!
