I’ve been having a tough time getting my Asus Rog B550-A motherboard to recognize an M.2 drive in either slot. I’ve already tried adjusting the SATA settings in the BIOS and messing with other BIOS options, but nothing seems to work. When I attempt to do a BIOS flash, the process stalls. I’m looking for any additional tricks or solutions that might help me get this drive recognized.

It sounds like your BIOS flash is having some serious problems. When you say it stalls, what exactly is the motherboard saying? Also, what model is the M.2 drive you’re trying to work with?
Just a heads-up, M.2 drives aren’t SATA; they’re usually NVMe these days. If your BIOS is set up incorrectly (like using CSM/Legacy instead of UEFI), it can definitely cause detection issues. Also, is this a brand new build or an upgrade?
