Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of trouble with Minecraft Bedrock on my Steam Deck after the recent update. I usually use the unofficial launcher, and it was working great, but now when I try to launch it in gaming mode, it just loops back to the launch page. From desktop mode, it opens fine but I can’t play with my deck controls in that mode. Has anyone else seen this problem? Any fixes or should I just wait for the devs to sort it out? I found a way to make it work through desktop mode, but the controls are super laggy. Here are the steps I followed to resolve it if it helps: 1. Delete the launcher from the Steam library in gaming mode. 2. Remove it from the desktop mode in Dolphin file manager. 3. Reinstall via Dolphin and make some adjustments to settings. Hope this helps anyone experiencing the same issue!

I’ve had the same issue! It drove me nuts trying to get into Realms with my friends. I ended up launching it through desktop mode too and honestly, it was clunky but at least I could calibrate my controller. Hope the next update fixes this mess!
Hey u/dopplegangme, if you haven’t found a solution yet, try checking out resources like Steam Deck Guide or ProtonDB for compatibility info and fixes. And if you still can’t get it working, Steam Support might be a good last resort! Good luck!
You can try adjusting your launch settings. Go to Steam, find your Minecraft Bedrock shortcut, hit the gear icon for properties, and set the controller override to use default settings. It worked for me, but I’m feeling some lag too compared to the previous update! Let me know if it helps you out!
Yeah, it’s a hassle for sure! I also found that launching from desktop lets the controls work but feels sluggish. Let’s just hope they push out a fix soon!
