I’m trying to remember a game from the 90s that my older brother used to play. In it, you controlled an old guy with a walking cane, and the gameplay was somewhat isometric. You navigated through different rooms in a castle, battling monsters, and I think there was magic involved. If you needed to heal, you’d drink from little fountains found in those rooms. I know my description is a bit vague, but I’m hoping someone might recognize it. I loved the graphics and always wanted to try it myself, but I was too young back then, and my brother completely forgot the game. Oh, and just so you know, we played it on an old 4/86 MS DOS PC, but it might have been from an even older platform.

If you can recall the exact system or console, that might help narrow it down!
Have you considered “Solstice” on the NES? It has the isometric gameplay and involves a lot of exploration, though it might not be what you’re thinking of.
It could also be “Cadaver,” which came out around 1990. Check this link for more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadaver_(video_game) – it might jog your memory!
That sounds like “The Immortal”! I played it on the Mega Drive myself, and it fits your description of an old dude with a cane and the isometric view. You explored a castle and had to fight monsters. Really cool game from back in the day!
Hmm, that might be it! I remember the character being dressed in green and the color palette being brighter. Maybe it’s just my imagination, though.
True, thanks for the tip! I’ll update my post.
