Help Me Find a Fresh Game to Bust My Gaming Slump!

-

I’ve recently hit another gaming slump and I need some fresh recommendations to help me get back into it. Last time I felt this way, I picked up ‘Dave the Diver’ and it totally revitalized my love for gaming! After that, I moved on to ‘Dredge’, ‘Sea of Stars’, and ‘Chronotrigger’. I played ‘Elden Ring’ four times—seriously, I’m hooked—but lately, I’ve been struggling to get into anything new. I’ve tried some games for about an hour each but they just didn’t grab me, including ‘Subnautica’, ‘Dark Souls III’, ‘Inscryption’, ‘Disco Elysium’, ‘Valheim’, ‘Noita’, ‘Dead Cells’, ‘Divinity: Original Sin’, and ‘Doom’. On the other hand, I loved ‘Hades’ (both 1 and 2), ‘Hollow Knight’, ‘Cuphead’, ‘Witcher 3’, ‘Cyberpunk’, and ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’. I also enjoyed ‘Baldur’s Gate’ and ‘God of War’. The last unexpected gem was ‘Roboquest’. Right now, I own ‘Starfield’, ‘Hogwarts Legacy’, and ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’, but I haven’t been able to stick with them for more than 15 minutes. Any ideas on games I should dive into? My brain feels fried!

You should definitely give ‘Lies of P’ a try; it’s on sale right now! It has some interesting gameplay mechanics that feel fresh.

I just added both ‘Lies of P’ and ‘Sekiro’ to my cart; they look awesome!

Since you’ve enjoyed ‘Baldur’s Gate’, check out ‘Wrath of the Righteous’. It has great character progression and choices, even if it doesn’t have the best graphics.

If you’re into narrative-driven games, ‘Ruined King: A League of Legends Story’ is worth a shot. It’s surprising how good it is considering its ties to League!

LeagueLover88 -

LOL, I play tons of League, but I had no idea this existed. Sounds fun!

For something more wholesome, try ‘Plants vs Zombies’ or ‘A Short Hike’. Those games always lift my spirits when I’m in a funk!

Have you checked out ‘Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights’? It’s really captivating and has a unique atmosphere. I also enjoyed ‘Void Bastards’ and ‘Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden’. They might pull you out of that slump!

I can vouch for ‘Ender Lilies’. It’s one of those hidden gems that truly surprised me.

You might enjoy ‘Rain World’; it’s quite challenging but people who liked ‘Hollow Knight’ often rave about it!

If you’re looking for something more linear and fun, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is a solid pick. It’s got humor and a great story!
