I’m looking to buy an RTX 5090 and have a list of options available in Brazil. My budget isn’t an issue, but I want to avoid overpaying for a card that doesn’t offer better performance or features compared to a cheaper alternative. Here are the models I’m considering with their prices:
– RTX 5090 GAMING OC GIGABYTE for R$ 21.999,99 ($3650 USD)
– RTX 5090 WINDFORCE OC GIGABYTE for R$ 23.599,99 ($3900 USD)
– RTX 5090 GameRock Palit for R$ 19.999,90 ($3350 USD)
– RTX 5090 GameRock OC Palit for R$ 22.999,99 ($3900 USD)
– RTX 5090 Gaming Trio MSI OC for R$ 23.999,99 ($4000 USD)
– RTX 5090 32G VANGUARD SOC MSI for R$ 25.999,99 ($4350 USD)
– RTX 5090 X3 INNO3D for R$ 19.999,99 ($3350 USD)
– RTX 5090 OC ASUS TUF for R$ 20.999,90 ($3500 USD)
– RTX 5090 OC ASUS ROG ASTRAL for R$ 24.599,90 ($4100 USD)
I currently have an MSI motherboard and prefer using the MSI app for overclocking. I’ve heard that using a GPU from the same brand can help with stability and performance, but I’m not entirely sure. My top choices right now are the Gaming Trio MSI OC and the GAMING OC GIGABYTE, especially since I can use a coupon to get the latter for R$ 21.000 instead of R$ 22.000. However, I’m open to suggestions if there’s a better option out there, especially one with good stability, power consumption, and build quality. Just a heads up: I’m getting this card to upgrade my VRAM since 3D software and rendering apps are demanding more these days!

Honestly, I’d say go for the cheapest one or the ASUS ROG ASTRAL for its enhanced monitoring features. Most other options seem like they’re not worth the extra cash you’d spend.
If I were you, I’d grab the ASUS TUF since it’s priced lower. It compares well to the Gaming OC from Gigabyte, and since the Windforce is pricier, there’s likely a pricing error or just a wacky promotion.
Haha, right? Prices can be totally bizarre sometimes!
Regarding your MSI setup, you can definitely use Afterburner for any brand of GPU. The belief that your motherboard and GPU should match for better stability is kind of a myth. Out of the cards you’re considering, I’d recommend the ASUS options. The TUF and Gaming OC have solid coolers and decent build quality; however, I’d prefer the TUF because it uses thermal pads instead of the putty that has had some issues. Plus, it has an extra HDMI port, which is a nice touch. If you’re looking to spend more, the ROG ASTRAL has great features and a quality PCB, although one of its fans can be a bit noisy. Still, its performance is worth considering!
The ASUS TUF seems to be one of the best options in your price range! It’s reliable and performs great for what you need.
Yup, this sounds about right.
