Hey fellow gamers! I’m looking for some advice on which video game to buy as a gift. I’ve got these four titles in mind, and I’d love to know what you all think about them:
– Elden Ring
– Horizon Forbidden West
– Ghost of Tsushima
– The Witcher 3
These games were recommended based on interests in titles like Cyberpunk, Mass Effect, Persona, Fallout: New Vegas, Dishonored, Indiana Jones, Splinter Cell, and Oblivion. If you have other suggestions outside of these, that’d be awesome too! Thanks for your help!

Ghost of Tsushima and Elden Ring are both top-tier picks. But keep in mind that Elden Ring can be pretty tough, which might not be ideal for someone who’s not very experienced with games. Also, make sure the recipient has played the first Horizon game if you’re considering Forbidden West.
All these games are fantastic, but it really depends on what kind of game the recipient enjoys. If I had to recommend:
1. Elden Ring – if they’re ready for a challenge and epic gameplay.
2. Ghost of Tsushima – super immersive and a great story.
3. The Witcher 3 – an all-time classic.
4. Horizon Forbidden West – it’s great, but they’d need to have played the first game for the full experience.
Witcher 3 has a rich story and great characters, but some people find the quests a bit lacking in satisfying outcomes. I’ve tried to finish it but ended up getting bored. On the other hand, the gameplay and atmosphere are top-notch!
It sounds like the person you’re gifting has a love for sci-fi, so I’d steer them toward something like Space Marine 2. While the other games are great, they don’t really fit that genre. If forced to choose from this list, Horizon Forbidden West could work since it has a futuristic setting, even if it’s more medieval.
Elden Ring is amazing! Once the gameplay clicks, it has tons of replay value. Ghost of Tsushima is also a standout; it’s one of the best single-player experiences I’ve had, and I seriously wish I could experience it fresh again. Could also go for The Witcher 3 for great value hours per dollar, but just be aware it might get a bit slow for some.
