Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience and see if anyone has some advice. I got a permanent ban on my WoW account after using a macro for skinning created with Steelseries GG. To make it easier on my hands, I made this macro to automatically right-click. I thought it was just a smart way to avoid straining myself, but it looks like Blizzard detected it and slapped me with a perma ban without any prior warning. I’ve appealed multiple times, but they just send me the same generic denial response. I feel frustrated and unsure of how to proceed. Any suggestions on what I can do next? Could trying a different ticket category actually help? I really don’t want to lose my account, especially since I play with friends and we’re planning to do content together. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, using third-party programs to automate actions is indeed bannable. I’ve heard of people getting warned or banned for less. Hopefully, you can reach someone who’ll actually listen to your issue, but just be aware it might not turn out in your favor.
Dude, using macros like that is usually against the Terms of Service. It’s a hard lesson to learn, but it sounds like Blizzard’s detection picked up on it and that’s why you got banned. Most games are pretty strict about automation, even if you think it’s harmless.
Yeah, I get that, but a permanent ban right away seems extreme. They could’ve given a small suspension first to let you know it was a no-go.
I feel for you, man. I’ve seen cases where people appealed and eventually got their accounts back after a bit of persistence. Maybe try another ticket about a payment issue—I’ve heard that’s worked for some. Just don’t give up yet!
That’s a solid strategy! Keeping the pressure up may get someone to take notice and review your case more closely.
It really sucks, but a quick glance at the ToS and you’d see that it could lead to this—there’s usually no wiggle room. I hope you find some way to address it.
