I’ve been having a frustrating issue over the past month with Halo: Combat Evolved on the Master Chief Collection not recognizing my Audeze Maxwell headphones for audio playback. It’s strange because all other games in the collection and even the main and pause menus have sound. I’ve tried both wired and wireless setups, but nothing seems to work. I’d love to hear if anyone has experienced this or has any tips to resolve it!

First things first, check your in-game audio settings. Sometimes, certain games can end up muted without you realizing it. Also, although Halo: CE doesn’t have individual audio tabs for each game, it’s worth double-checking that all your sound settings are correct.
I had a similar audio problem with the MCC where it would only play corrupted sounds, like fuzzy music. I ended up reinstalling the game and even verifying the files through Steam, but it didn’t help. The audio issue seems to be isolated to Halo: CE since everything else works fine on my computer. It’s such a headache!
