Hey everyone! I used to play my Steam games without any issues, but since I had to reset my PC, about half of my library won’t launch. Small games seem to work fine, but when I try to run bigger titles like Doom, The Witcher 3, or Helldivers 2, they show up as ‘running’ for a few seconds and then just quit. I’m using Nobara and have been a fan for a while, but lately, I’ve been facing a lot of problems with game launches. I’ve already tried various versions of Proton and made sure my drivers are up to date. Any advice on what could be going wrong?

You could also try killing all Steam processes and starting fresh. Just open the terminal and run `killall -9 steam` before you relaunch it.
You might want to check your Steam logs when you try to launch a game. Also, consider deleting the compatdata folder and trying again; it might help with the launch issues.
Have you checked if you’re using Steam on an NTFS filesystem? Sometimes that can cause issues with game launches in Linux.
Before you launch, try verifying the game files for any of the ones that won’t start. It should also check the Steam Runtime files automatically. This can often fix launch problems.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll give that a try and see if it helps.
Make sure you’ve enabled Steam Play in the options. A lot of people forget to do this after installing Steam fresh, and it can mess up game launches.
I’ll definitely test that out, thanks! I appreciate the suggestions!
