Hey everyone, I need some serious help! I turned on my Xbox the other day and found out I was signed out of my Microsoft account. When I tried to log back in using my password, it asked me to verify my account. The problem is, the phone number linked to my account is one I no longer have access to. I submitted a ticket for online verification, but they came back saying they can’t confirm my ownership of the account. I’ve tried reaching out to Microsoft for help, but I can’t talk to a real person—it’s just an endless loop of trying to verify ownership. Is there anything I can do, or should I just give up? I really don’t want to lose all the time and money I’ve put into my games! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, it’s a bummer when you lose access like that. I had a similar issue once, and they were able to ask security questions based on my previous activity. If you can, gather any information about past purchases or subscriptions that can prove you’re the original owner. That might help your case when you try contacting them again!
It sounds like a frustrating situation! Unfortunately, it seems likely that your account may have been compromised, especially if you hadn’t set up two-factor authentication or updated your security info. If that’s the case, the automated recovery might not work for you, and getting it back could be tough. I suggest contacting Microsoft support again and insisting on speaking with a real person. Keep pushing them—it might take some time, but persistence could pay off! Good luck!
Thanks for the advice! I’ll try contacting them again and see if I can get a live person.
Thanks! I’ll see what I can dig up on my end!
